Goalball

Goalball is the oldest and most famous sonic ball game for blind and visually impaired people. Goalball was invented in Germany in the 1950s and has been a Paralympic sport since 1976.

Goalball is a game that requires physical training, reaction, attention, and team play skills from the players. Two teams play against each other on a full-width goal court.

Each team has 6 players. The goal is to score a special Goalball ball weighing 1250 grams with bells built into the hard body of the ball into the opponent's goal.

In addition to the standard Goalball ball, there are women's and training balls. Also, players use equipment, including masks to protect their faces and to prevent the use of residual vision by visually impaired players.
