BraillePen24 is a light and very slim braille display with 24 braille cells and an 8-key braille keyboard. It connects wirelessly to a phone, tablet or computer and shows the screen reader's text in braille. It can also be used on its own for notes, e-mail, calendar and books.
The display is designed and made by Harpo in Poland and weighs only about 230 g. It fits in a jacket pocket and is meant for users who want braille on the go: at school, in education, at work and in daily life. BraillePen24 received the iF Design Award in 2025.

- Books and files: a microSD card is included for books in .txt and .brf and for moving notes.
Controls
- 24 braille cells with 24 cursor routing keys, one above each cell.
- Perkins-style keyboard with 8 keys and two space keys.
- Four thumb keys on the front edge and a five-function joycane for navigation.
- A switch to mute sounds and a switch to change between terminal and application mode.
- Can be paired with several devices and switch between them.
Good to know
The braille cells are protected by a thin film on a replaceable frame; two spare frames are included. The USB-C port is used for charging only. The battery lasts up to 20 hours in normal use, and a full charge takes up to about 5 hours.
Danish language
BraillePen24 has a Danish interface: menus, apps and messages are shown in Danish, and Danish braille is read and written. The interface is also available in English, Polish and Ukrainian, among others. The Danish user guide is on its way; until then the English guide can be downloaded from the manufacturer, and we are happy to help with setup and questions in Danish.
