Swell paper (microcapsule paper) from Harpo and Zychem in A4 and A3, plus the Harpo PIAF heater. With swell paper you can make tactile maps, diagrams and illustrations that can be read by touch. Prices exclude VAT.
How it works
The image is drawn, printed or copied in black on the paper. When the sheet passes through a heater, the black lines and areas rise. The black must contain carbon, which the toner in most laser printers and copiers does.
What to choose
- A4 suits most tasks and runs through ordinary printers.
- A3 gives room for maps and large diagrams.
- Harpo or Zychem: The paper works the same way. The heat often needs a small adjustment when you change brand.
- Heater: Harpo PIAF heats the sheet so the drawing rises.
The paper is sold in packs of 100 sheets: Harpo A4, Harpo A3, Zychem A4 and Zychem A3.
