A video magnifier (CCTV) is a camera and a screen that magnify text, pictures and objects, so people with low vision can read, write and see details again. How to choose the right video magnifier

• The field of vision decides the screen: with a wide field, for example macular degeneration (AMD), a 32″ or 43″ screen gives the best overview; with a narrow field, a smaller screen may be better.
• Should the text be read aloud? Read-aloud magnifiers read printed text aloud, so the eyes can rest.
• Desktop or portable? A desktop device is ready on the table; a portable camera can move between school, work and home.
• Computer or TV? Several models can show the computer or TV picture on the same screen.
