KOBA Vision Vocatex Plus – professional read-aloud video magnifier

KOBA Vision Vocatex Plus is a professional read-aloud video magnifier (CCTV). It magnifies text and pictures in Full HD and reads printed text aloud – including whole A4 pages in one go. Vocatex Plus is made for workplaces, education and users who read a lot: letters, invoices, tables, books and newspapers.

What Vocatex Plus can do

• Reads whole A4 pages: set the magnification to the smallest and the whole page is read aloud without moving the reading table.
• Keeps reading as you move the text: the intelligent read-aloud function picks up new text when the reading table moves and reads on without annoying pauses.
• Invoices and tables: with the reading bar you choose how complex documents are read aloud.
• Overview at all times: the picture is always live, so headings, columns and photos keep their layout, and a red frame shows the word being read.
• Multimedia centre: show a computer, TV or tablet on the same screen – and with magnification software on the computer, even a split screen with camera and computer.
• For different kinds of sight loss: special settings for macular degeneration, tunnel vision and light sensitivity, among others, and a background filter for poorly printed text.

The screen is chosen by field of vision

Vocatex Plus comes with a 22″ (56 cm), 27″ (68 cm), 32″ (82 cm) or 43″ (109 cm) screen. With a wide field of vision, for example with macular degeneration (AMD), a 32″ or 43″ screen gives the best overview. With a narrow field of vision, for example retinitis pigmentosa, a smaller screen may be better. The screen tilts and adjusts in height for a correct sitting position.

Operated with three senses

The buttons are large and differently shaped, so they are easy to feel. They have different colours and built-in light, so they are easy to find. And every button says what it does – no manual needed to get started.

Can Vocatex Plus be used with a computer?

Yes. The computer image can be shown on the screen, and with magnification software the user can work in split screen, seeing the camera and the computer at the same time.
