Braille embossers and accessories from ViewPlus for schools, municipalities, resource centres and businesses. All the embossers produce both braille and tactile graphics. Prices exclude VAT, and Danish public customers can order with an EAN number.
How to find the right embosser
The key questions are how much you print, whether you need double-sided printing, and whether you use continuous paper or cut sheets.
- For one user: EmBraille is small and takes both continuous paper and cut sheets.
- Braille and colour on the same sheet: SpotDot and Delta also print colour, so sighted and blind people can use the same sheet.
- Office and resource centre: Columbia prints double-sided on continuous paper, and Rogue comes in versions for cut sheets and continuous paper.
- Large volumes: Premier 100 and Elite 200 print double-sided at up to 100 and 200 characters per second.
To compare the models, read How to choose a braille printer.
Software and connection
The embossers come with Tiger Software Suite, which translates text to braille and creates tactile graphics from programs such as Word and Excel. With the ViewPlus Tiger Box you can print wirelessly from a computer, tablet or phone. For Elite, Premier and Columbia there is also Color InkConnect, which adds colour printing on the same sheet as the braille.
