Talking induction hob with one cooking zone and Danish speech. The hob speaks all its functions aloud in Danish, so it can be used without looking at the display.
Cobolt Speechmaster is made by Cobolt Systems in England, a maker of talking aids for blind and visually impaired people. The hob is small and portable and fits a kitchen worktop, a shared home or daily-living skills training.
How it works
- All functions are spoken aloud in clear Danish.
- Choose either a power level or a temperature.
- Timer that switches the hob off after the set time.
- Switches off automatically when the pan is removed.
- The surface is warm, but not hot, after use.
- Six buttons that are easy to feel: Temperature, Timer, minus, plus, Power and On/Off.
- Smooth, wipe-clean surface.
Pans
Induction needs pans with iron in the base. A magnet is included so you can test your own pans: if the magnet canes to the base, the pan will work.
